Minecraft 1.3

Post by Yukar9 »

Minecraft 1.3 is around the corner (presuming Mojang stay on schedule,) and so I'm going to say this again: If you want to continue playing here, do NOT update until you see Outdated client when trying to connect.

As always it takes a bit for bukkit to get updated, and this time I've decided to not set a temporary update server up.

I'm going to preemptively post the 1.2.5 minecraft.jar here

or better yet use this
http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/514 ... -tool-v10/
With the jar switcher you can save your old jar, update, and save your new jar. Then you can switch back and forth with ease. It's also a good way to keep vanilla and modded clients seperate.

No, the SSP uses the vanilla SMP client now.

SMP servers are still separate.

I have reset the end, a couple times, if you really want another one I can schedule it right now.

so even though mojang stole the best people from bukkit you still want to use it? Can't we try the vanilla software now that they claim to have fixed it? I'd hate to keep on useing inferior software just because you can't accept changing it.

Uhh Rev, I don't think you understand. No bukkit = no moderation tools. If that's what you want, then I'd suggest you request to reopen norules instead.

So suddenly Bukkit is inferior software? Mojang owes SO MUCH to this project, don't forget that.

sudden? No it's always seemed more buggy than real minecraft. But my point was that if the best people of bukkit went to work for mojang then there is no way bukkit will be able to be better now. But since the modding ability promised to us was not delivered i called off my suggestion for a vanilla server since i do want hacker protection. I was just fed false information from mojang and thought 1.3 had mod support.
