New PvP world is up

Post by Yukar9 »

The PvP world you all helped build in hc.simpvp.net is now up.

WorldEdit did glitch a bit on copying it over, so there are a few oddities, I've rougly patched them up for now though, but in consideration of how badly this place is going to be griefed, I don't want to put a lot of energy into fixing it.

Have fun there!

I'd like another prebuilt one, maybe start with a flatland this time?

I vote for a WorldPainter-generated one.
With that you can get amazing-looking terrrain to build your structures on.

i'd still say a bit bigger like R=200 though having more than ocean does make it feel bigger then before. How about make it a dark world by either modding the clock or putting a cap over the land?

How about glass? So we start with a flatland map, which would glass all the way to bedrock, with no natural caves.

Naturally people would be free to build, and so we'd begin seeing an abundance of opaque blocks below. This would make it possible to create hidden bases.

Finally, just think of the pvp this would enable.

I think this is worth a try, I like this idea.

how does glass make it possible to have hidden bases? Also why do you expect people to build "below"? Sounds rather dull at any rate.

Yes. How does glass make it possible to have hidden bases?
