I say we just keep everything the way it is. Spawn is a challenge that should be overcome. We see that most people who get helped at spawn just whinge and bitch for the duration of thier server life, while most people who become regulars got out solo. Most people reading this topic have made it out several times, so Newbies can too. I think this would ruin the aesthetic of the server as when people ask for free items, the reply is often "go back to creative''. Imho if anything is to be done maybe a weekly 200 block radius reset would be most suitable.

Sorry rev, you have a point about tree planting by admins...I agree with the starter kit though.

Anyway I can see the idea hasn't been particularly well-received, so it won't happen, at least not for now.

That's a different suggestion, isn't it? Anyway it would make spawn look messed up because of changes to the terrain generation, and add unnecessary work, would be better to just plant trees regularly.
