They probably have the Chunk loading radius set to something stupid like three so they can cram 400 players in the server without actually getting a better server.

Well.. you can say it's bad all you want, but the fact is that it's that system that lets them have over a thousand people online pretty much 24/7.

It's the same thing with the vote-reward systems, we can't compete on most server lists because without a vote-reward system, nobody votes. This means we get fewer players, making the game more boring for everybody else. It's sad, but that's simply the way it all works.

I'd rather the people who play/vote here do it willingly.

I agree, that's why we do it the way we do it. Just saying, that's how they get so many people.

just view it on the same level as bribing people to vote for you. Just seems completely disingenuous
