Clarification - Is this the first minute of December 25th or the 24th?

First minute of 25th, but to prevent people claiming it in the last minute, theres a two hour window for when it ends.

i think it goes the other way. He has a secret time set but can let a battle play out beyond that limit by not letting the players know.

Right. To prevent any unintentional bias on my part, I've already decided on a specific minute. But I might extend it a bit if there's some good fighting going on.

Well, I was kinda fucked up there, and no way was I losing my diamond armor. Worth the shame.
