So long as you're not a faggot you shouldn't get sucked in even if I were to force you to watch the first season Clockwork Orange style. The show is slower than the continental drift. And I ain't talking about the plot moving at a snail's pace. Not to mention the pandas. And everything about the show. I guarantee lone watches it strictly because of the community

Honestly, I watched everything up through season 3 just because I wanted to see what everyone was so worked up about. I didn't find it to be a really piss poor show until the later episodes, which certainly deteriorated. I don't consider myself a fan of the show, but I have watched it. I'll probably watch season four, too, just because I can.

Nah I find the show itself interesting with the mild humor and such. /mlp/ occsaionaly makes some gods among men known with hilarity and the drama surrounding the fandom is even better.
Fo, this is how I started as well.
And praising the sun:

I've been exposed to it both through my self-titled "brony" son as well as my younger daughter. There's about 8 million things I'd rather do than watch an episode, but for those I've seen I can only say that I was expecting 100% drek and found that the writing actually wasn't half bad. I've seen plenty worse passed off as entertainment.
