The suggestion was not to remove an addon to change bedspawn to the original way it works in multiplayer, but to remove the possibility to spawn at a bed when you die at all, and instead start at spawn, and how it would influence the people not to build that far away from spawn as they do at the moment.

lol sorry, I completely missed the point.
As for the suggestion, I think it would create unnecessary frustration, and it would make it virtually impossible to raid defended bases (completely destroying such pvp)

actually, back when I played when they didn't have beds, it made you more resourceful. It makes it easier to both raid and defend. kill the raider, then gtfo out since he knows where you are. kill the base defender, and grab his shit and gtfo. I'm surprised you aren't for this. I for one am not, I feel beds were added for a reason.

Granted I hadn't discovered pvp in minecraft until after beds were added, but what I imagine (and you also describe) is that the fights would have been incredibly short, rather than the longer sieges possible now.

Come to think of it a was on a friendly server with /home and didn't start looking for other servers till the bed update. So i've never done PVP without beds. But on the idea of base raiding. One of the big tactical moves is to destroy all beds. If beds are removed half of the seige is taken care of. It does make pvp less eventfull if the attacker has to run 1000 blocks just to get back to a fight.

As I told Xestia, it made pvp fights quicker, yet more stressful, as you had more to lose. I, for one, am not for this. Nothing makes you rage quit more then dying 10k from spawn and having to walk back.
