I say that if there's going to be no reentry, why bother making it all fancy? Waste of time, unless we add like a long and tedious ladder maze up the side to get in?

NO PROTECTED AREA, except where they first join the game.
And it should not be reenterable.
Kinda like the previous spawn.

yeah from the sound of it people are leaning towards some thing like the original 1.8 spawn sans the no build zone which is good enough for me but i think a small protected space for a common gathering is a strong feature for player activity but if that's not important to any one i'll just shut up about it now

I think that would be quite nice, a safe place to trade? Perhaps an op could build a trade system? I know that on youtube there's multiple people that have some up, sethbling being one of them.

I don't think removing the fancy ass garden/village area is a good idea, because then our server looks like shit to the newbies.

Well the spawn with such easy retreat from pvp is like shit. I have been at spawn, and there was just a constant clump of 2 or 3 noobs hanging around the gate.

It's fancy because, belive it or not, when it wasn't fancy (spawn was originally just a 25x25 bedrock platform, nothing on it) people would constantly complain about how ugly it is.
Rev, I did read your suggestion, but we've already voted for not being able to reenter the pvp safe zone (twice actually,) so I'm not going to do it as you suggested.
