The problem with legitimacy of downvotes is that apart from Youngs and maybe a few others, nobody here is criticising the suggestion, but all of a sudden there are 18 people against.

Ah. I still think that votes being shown violates a tad more of our privacy than it should, but it may be a good thing.

Besides votes being shown, and like many other people have said joseph, you should only be speaking for yourself. I don't see any reason for you to be allowed to vote on friends behalfs. I don't know if you made those accoutns or not, but regardless of that they HAVE to post a reason for why they voted, or else it won't be counted.

Most of us here have reasons, and it us our duty to share them and accept and offer opposing points of view. The rest of us don't have reasons, and should not be counted as people.
