A dog with a Strength II potion does equal damage to that of a diamond sword. They can be fire-proofed, sped up, and have their health regenerated.

Sorry, got busy watching Spartacus. People can take potions as well last I checked, and do you really think you can get that many wolves without bogging down the server. Check.

a dog is just a domesticated wolf so once tamed they are dogs.

I've done it before at the Hive, easily. I had about 200 wolves and the server was fine. Im pretty sure I can get more, and 4000 hitpoints is probably more than you and a team of five bumbling idiots can handle. Just because players take potions doesn't mean they use them effectively.
