I like the idea of no saved locations. But still, I've never seen one person in the pvp world, and it kinda ruins the fun if you have to pre-plan a fight with someone.
I say just try a couple of these ideas out and see what happens.

how about a chat notice so you can see when people warp in and out. This of coarse would be no good if it get's too spammy. But for a pvp fan, knowing people are in the pvp world should give them some hope of finding people

I think a 500 limit would be too big (that's 1000000 squaremeters)

Honestly, 200 would probably be okay, but I don't get the problem with a 100 limit. Still far from impossible to mine (you need to realize how many diamonds actually are in a 200x200 area) but still dangerous and you'll be hitting other people's mines all the time. Also keep in mind the pvp world will be reset from time to time.

I agree on removing the saved location pvp-side.

Chat notice would be interesting to try out, but I'm not 100% sure on it.

I agree upon a 100-area-in-all-directions thingamahjig.
Also upon not having saved locations.
For a chat notice, perhaps a seperate command that says to you the number of other players currently in the /pvp world.

I agree with LoneSoldier. Pvp world shouldn't be an entirely different world. It should be a smaller, arena-like area. Sort of like the minecraft hunger games maps. Small, limited, yet fun.

I think that a command that would show who's in the PvP world would be pretty useful.

100 is too small. At 100 a person in the center could see the whole map. Remember sneaking and hiding is an aspect of fighting. Also you have to be 50 away from other players to teleport. It would take only 4 properly placed players to make it impossible to warp out. 200 would be just fine.

200 sounds good to me. But what about the resources? What did we decide about that?

with a 400x400 world gathering resources there will be quite risky, so I guess we don't have to restrict them.
