The game is already unnecessarily shitty, and you're still playing it.
You're implying things that don't matter in the slightest and strawman-ing like a hay farmer.
You're not explaining anything, you're trying to use logical fallacies to prove why you can't be arsed to wait 15 seconds to use an extremely helpful feature.
Kindly let this thread die,
again.

My point is that you're shooting down helpful ideas to make the game worse. It's as simple as that. You basically want the game to be bad. You ever notice that more often than not, the server has 0 people on it lately? That's because of bullshit like this.
And you don't get to decide the thread is dead just cause you don't like the idea anymore. Look, I like the idea, and I've said the version I'd be happy with. You haven't given any actual reasons why it shouldn't be added. Saying "you could stand to wait" isn't a fucking reason. I could stand any number of annoying things in this game or real life, and I do. The question is, does it actually fucking help anything to put up with annoying shit? I think in this case the answer is no.
If you want the thread to die so much, just stop posting. If nobody else comes it's not like I'll sit around replying to myself. Look through all the forums if you want, you'll find that two posts in a row by me is pretty rare. If you want this conversation to stop, then quit being a fucking hypocrite and stop posting.

There's the point where ideas are helpful to the point where it makes the server casual shit, which is what it's been trying to avoid since it started. Like on moocraft, a free diamond mine in the middle of the pvp safezone is helpful, but I garuntee only idiots would want that implemented here.
P.S: The server has zero people on it lately because minecraft is becoming a dead game. You're a retard if you think the server is empty because people can't use /world within 50 blocks of someone else.
Look, It's just you and me posting. Kindly admit you're wrong and quit posting. I've given plenty of reasons, you just want to ignore what opposes your side of the argument in favor of claiming that my arguments don't exist. If you find having to have you or your teammate quickly drop a disconnect and reconnect so you can use /world annoying I can't imagine you putting up with the grind that is minecraft. It takes you literally about 10-15 seconds total to swap connections and worlds.
>lonesoldier you are proving to have actual arguments against what I want to implement
>stop posting if you want the thread dead
good try champ, go drink a juicebox

Well, I'm not convinced. I can't think of a single reason besides "it will make the server too casual" which I honestly think is pretty silly. Equating modifying a rule to remove the unnecessary inconvenience it added and putting a diamond mine in spawn is ridiculous. Nobody else seems to really care at the moment, but the last word from basically everyone who posted here is that they like the idea. Hell, you even liked it a few pages back, didn't you?
Look, this isn't even my idea. The argument isn't really between you and me, it's between you and Jay. He persuaded me that it's a good idea, and you failed to persuade me that it wasn't.
The issue is that the forums are basically dead lately, along with the server. It's all pretty irrelevant at the moment. And honestly since most people who log on these days are one of only one or two people on at once, and probably millions of blocks from each other, it doesn't even matter. Nobody is within 50 blocks of anyone. I'm hoping that someday more people happen to come on and interest will pick up again though. At the moment it makes no difference and we don't have enough people for a discussion anyway, but please don't go around acting like you've "won" an argument somehow.
I'm willing to just call this a stalemate for now if you are.

You think it's silly because you probably enjoy eating casual shit.
You want people to work out a bunch of code on the server to save you five to ten seconds of inconvenience? Would you like me to fix all of the map by hand to save the one new player that happens to join too?
"The last word from basically everybody"
This translates to "I'm too lazy to actually get statistics so I'll just pull the bandwagon out and throw you on it as well".
It's hard to persuade someone who enjoys such casual garbage to not enjoy casual garbage, isn't it?
The issue here is, Minecraft has outlived its life, and this server pretty much has too. Your hopes are in vain, and no, you're wrong as fuck. Nobody is going to put effort forward into this because nobody is so butt flustered by 15 seconds of wait time.

This thread isn't for bitching about the game, or the server, being shitty. Whether Minecraft has outlived its life or not, is irrelevant to the suggestion.

You can't complain about a lack of players and try to ignore that.

And the solution for a lack of players is to not solve annoyances in the server?

You can't have more players if there's no more players to get to begin with.
Don't ignore the root of the problem.

ink it's silly because you probably enjoy eating casual shit.
Totally irrelevant ad hominem, also false. I play on the server just like everyone else, on hard mode and everything. If I really wanted things to be casual why wouldn't I just be somewhere else? I don't really enjoy easy games, my favorite game besides Minecraft is Dark Souls, which definitely isn't known for being easy or casual.
You want people to work out a bunch of code on the server to save you five to ten seconds of inconvenience? Would you like me to fix all of the map by hand to save the one new player that happens to join too?
I understand if nobody feels like coding it, and if they don't want to I won't whine about it. And it's not about saving
me time specifically, it is about trying to improve the server overall. Again with the ad hominem. You're acting like I'm doing something unusual by participating in a suggestion thread.
As for fixing the map by hand, if you actually felt like doing that I'd appreciate it actually. I've spent a lot of time fixing the map myself. But don't worry, nobody is actually asking you to do anything, I know you never actually play.
"The last word from basically everybody"
This translates to "I'm too lazy to actually get statistics so I'll just pull the bandwagon out and throw you on it as well".
When do people ever get statistics on a forum thread like this? By my count it's 4 or so who like the idea, 4 or so who didn't give direct opinions, but who implicitly must not hate it or they would have said more, and 2 (you and Melvin) who are clearly against. If you want to put it in fucking percentages or something do it yourself. I'm not saying your opinion is necessarily wrong if it's in the minority, but what I am saying is that to win any kind of argument you have to actually use logic and convince people instead of attacking one particular person for not sharing your fringe view. You keep acting like it's me alone demanding that people listen to my demands, but it's not my idea, and I'm not the only one who supports it.
You can't have more players if there's no more players to get to begin with.
Don't ignore the root of the problem.
How is that relevant to this discussion? We're talking about one particular idea to improve the server, not about fixing the server overall. When I said the server was deserted because of bullshit like this, I didn't mean specifically the /world issues, I meant the entire general attitude of hostility to any minor changes. Also, how many players do we even need? We can only have 20 on at once anyway, and there are certainly more than 20 minecraft players left. No need to be so defeatist about the issue to the point where you refuse to talk about any other improvements.
