Even ArmA is getting shit on by shills right now. Bohemia released a Go-Karts DLC pack for 2 USD. It includes a few different colored Go-Karts and racing suit models and a time trial mode, easily anything a decent modder could make in a few hours.
Meanwhile ArmA II's DLC packs consisted of 5-8 hour campaigns, almost 20 new vehicles and weapons, several new models, and were much better optimized for only 5 USD.
ArmA III in in itself is still an unfinished disgusting mess of a game. It's an ArmA II with slightly improved graphics, less weaponry, and absolute shit optimization. Every building in the game is just a prefab placed about the map, and it's tiresome when there's only 20 prefabs or so. Altis is a laggy piece of trash map that's just too fucking huge for its own good, and its towns are boring mixes of prefabs. Drones are still broken as fuck and are only useful against AI, as any competent player will knock a quad rotor out of the sky in half a second, not to mention they're hard as shit to maintain control over, especially the Stomper ground based one which also has problems with lighting enemies the fuck up when you're trying to remain undetected.

This is not a "gamey" game at all and is basically an interactive movie, but its a great game to play on the couch while eating warm waffles and drinking a cup of warm tea. The Walking Dead Season 2. Its a satisfying point-and-click adventure in which you play as a little girl surviving in the zombie apocalypse. You can manipulate people through dialogue options and make huge decisions that will decide whether someone will get saved by another person or if they will get shot in the face. The action scenes are basically just point-and-click quick time events with an occasional mashy-button moment, but thanks to great cinematography and choreography, they end up becoming extremely tense and polished sequences. There's major-replay value as multiple people can die or live based on the choices you make (especially on episode 2 in which the ending sequence is reminiscent of Mass Effect 2's Suicide Run because so many people can live or die) and entire new conversations can be played based on other large decisions. The game is released in individual episodes (yes your choices carry over) but you should only start playing season 2 after playing season 1 (season 1 isn't as polished but is still wholly interactive). The graphical style may turn off some gamers as well as some extreme violence in which some moments involving the little girl are hauntingly resonant and disturbing. Dialogue is fresh and humanizes the cast better than most games can characterize their protagonist. Episode 1 has some technical hiccups but episodes 2-3 (the only other ones released so far) are glitch-free and technically sound even though the animations are pretty robotic. The game is also extremely inexpensive as you can purchase each individual episode for $5 each or buy the season pass for $20, making all 5 episodes readily available for downloading once they are released.

Skyrim was absolute rubbish. The only reason anyone can defend it is because the community stepped up and modded the fuck out of it, much like minecraft.

I can't stand Skyrim. Cliche setting, awful combat, and boring, incredibly repetitive dungeons. Fantasy RPGS are absolute dreck lately.
At least Fallout has an interesting world and real ethical choices. Skyrim is about as interesting as vacum cleaning.

On a side note, I find it actually quite cool not being the only one of this whole forum knowing about Knytt Stories.

If you've been to the developer's website, he's got a variety of other games, too. Similar art style, with neat gameplay. They're great games to waste a few days on, and most of them are free.
