I've been off for about three weeks now for many reasons: Starting school (Big chunk of why I'm off because I'm still getting used to it),
waiting for bukkit to fix itself (apparently not),
and coming out as an atheist towards my family (Which at the immediate moment, I have said it and now I am just waiting for a response [Fixed typo]).

If you don't care, fine- I was just saying that I didn't ragequit or anything.

Heh, I only "half" came out as one with my family. I don't really see any reason to, as my family (and extended) are mostly Catholic, so me "coming out" would be rough on my family life. I just ask you respect your family's beliefs, and they will do the same.

"Coming out" must automatically imply homosexuality... how silly of me rev, i'm sorry.

well, if on it's own there is no defined subject for what one is coming out of. as an atheist describes the way he comes out but not what he is coming out of. So i'm, left to assume it is meant to be a short version of the phrase "coming out of the closet" which I have only know to be used as a gay expression. So coming out of the closet as an atheist would mean you're an atheist that has made his or her homosexuality know to others. At any rate if a parent would stop loving their own child for either of those things they don't deserve to be a parent any how.
