What do you mean tried? If they didn't actually do it how do you even know they did anything?

Was wondering the same thing. Does minecraft email you after a certain number of failed attempts?

Minecraft account. It's not failed login attempts, it's password reset requests (for lost password) -- I can see it because you need to confirm it by email.

It's not hacking by any definition. It doesn't get them any further towards gaining access to my account in any way, and it's not a clever way to accomplish something.

well it easyer to hack someones mail then hacking mojang but still just annoying

Maybe its an official from Planet Minecraft making good on their promise to shut down the server for calling him a fag.
