You know, I'm really starting to regret buying an "indev" game without hearing any actual plan for where it was going, because the fact that they've changed it constantly, and that we view that as generally a good thing, sets a precedent for Microsoft to do whatever the fuck they want with it. I think it's too early to know if this will make the game better or worse, but I think that the game being ruined is a possibility. I'm not saying the sky is falling, I'm just frustrated with not knowing what will happen.

i had a dream a few nights ago where i tried to log in and got some kind of 'game discontinued' screen. I'm pretty sure if the game is to have any more updates you'll have to pay for them. Linux and mac are probably getting phased out. members will probably be asked for more personal info and asked to sign a new log ass terms of service agreement. Just guessing here.

There will be a monthly subscription fee of $12, your minecraft account will be connected to your xbox live account, and you won't be allowed to have non microsoft-run servers. Also, modding will now count as copyright infringement and you will go to jail. Sheep will no longer regrow wool.

I'm making all of this up. Who knows what will actually happen though.
