I decided that in addition to trying to attract players online by voting on server lists, maybe we should try doing more to advertise the server irl, so I made a flyer we can post on bulletin boards. This can get us some people who might not hear about the server otherwise, and also allows us to have a bit more control over what kinds of players come onto the server. It seems like most people who search for servers online these days are children, but by advertising at university campuses and other places where older people tend to be, we can attract more of the type of players we want here.

Yeah basically. They can also be out on bulletin boards and stuff, nobody even has to know who put it there.

The blandness is to save on ink costs.

Except we banned lyser to only posting in offtopic, would you rather the same for you? And just because someone else has acted like an asshole in the past doesn't mean you should, or have the right to.

Maybe I should have called it a poster rather than a flyer?


It's intended more to be posted on walls than directly handed out to people, though obviously people can do whatever they want with it. I really doubt anyone will ostracize you if they see you put this on a bulletin board, and if you're really that concerned about what people think of you than you have some insecurity issues.

Its a half decent attempt, that might actually do some good at advertising our server. A lot of the juniors in my highschool play minecraft, so I'll download a poster and put it up by the IT lab.
