I've been having a very large amount of trouble with getting Potion of Harming II's or "Instant Damages" to work recently. Poisons potions have been working fine, but for some reason a lot of times when I throw an Instant Damage potion nothing happens.

I tested this with pianiseemo and discovered that even if he hit me directly with the potion I wouldn't take any damage. When I threw the potion at him, he somehow took damage though.
Then I threw the potion at myself, and still didn't take any damage.

From this it seems that at sometimes, you're invulnerable to damage from Instant Damage potions.

I talked to a few regulars about this and it seemed like other people had this problem too. Airdude323 was all like "I hit Xestia with 4 potions but he still didn't die!11!111!!!11!!"
And piani was all like "Lolwut why aren't you taking damage?!??!1!!11!!11!!"

I went to spawn unarmed and said "Hi" to Gnatogryz, trying to pretend that I had nothing with me when I really had a few damage potions in my hotbar.
He assumed that I just did /kill to check out spawn or something, and that's when I started spamming pots at him. He didn't take any damage even though they were all direct hits!

that minecraft for u;) is it only on this server? dont think yukar have any mods thats effect potions

I'm guessing it has somthing to so with the fact that it is a direct hit. A splash potion is an area effect. I'm not saying it's not a bug but have you tested that varriable? Also i assume you did, but you didn't say if you tested it armor free.

hmm i'd wonder if it's a multi player bug, but testing it in single player would be odd as you can't attack other players

Hmmm...sounds strange. I bet airdude was totally like 'it didn't work 11111111111111111' too. ;p And you wasted all those ingredients on mkaing potions and variables???? lolz

I didn't hear the potions breaking sound, it looks like the server is ignoring your potions. When Immerone threw pots at me, they worked fine (sound+damage).

As a matter of fact, I didn't even know you were throwing pots at me, but it's good to know that you aint a friendly dude ;)
