Another Limit compromise- STARGATES!

Alright, here's a mod that allows us to construct "stargates", which are teleporters that allow us to go to any other teleporter, given that we know the it's gatename, as well as it's password (assuming it has one). Id recommend using the older "O-ring" models, which take 18 obby to construct. Here's a link that talks more about it:

I'd recommend using the "dial" system, rather then the others. Thoughts?

I know the stargates aren't vanilla, but they're one of the few plugins I know of that I don't mind using. And youngs, you can connect to other people's gates. it's not just to spawn. Yukar is entertaining the idea. Im not saying we should endorse this, I'm just curious of what people think.

Well, I think it would stray even farther from the vanilla doctrine that you yourself brought up.

Alright, I know this isn't vanilla, but let me explain how it doesn't affect the game besides having the ability to make two bases kilometers apart seem right next to each other. It makes it easier to make groups, so this would increase pvp. This is more a "luxury" item, you are not forced to use it (in fact, you'd have less a chance to be greifed by those who do if you don't use it). I understand this isn't vanilla, but I always felt this was an exception as it's entirely voluntary, and it comes with cons as well as pros. For starters, it makes bases far away easier to get to. It also makes bases far away easier to get griefed.

I think if we do use portals they should be set at specific intervals, like from spawn make one in each cardinal direction every 5k out or so, so theres still some walking involved. Also if someone keeps getting back to spawn really fast you know theyre based near a portal which cuts the search down somewhat, and possibly make more areas of high traffic instead of only spawn which in turn makes more areas of increased pvp.
