Have you heard? Mojang has decided to add "Fix for glitchy mob prediction in multiplayer" as one of the priorities for 1.3: link.

Don't you think they're hurting the game by removing one of its defining characteristics? :) It's been a part of the game since late 2009!

Yea, I believe so. And mob grinders will no longer produce ghosts hopefully.

Yea, I'm very happy for the new official modding api, yet at the same time I am afraid of what it will bring (*cough* Mojang).

and with a new release there are downtime.... will the new mod api make all bukkit plugins obsolete? and do we have to wait for new plugins to pup up?

Pretty sure its the new frendlier plugins system mojang is introducing where everything is drag and drop... Correct me if I'm wrong.

u probably wrong it are going to be just as now as bukkit are merging with mojang to produce a official bukkit minecraft server. where u got that mojang have the know how to build a drag and drop modding system are beyond me...
