The 2018 SimPvP Admin Election was a public election held on the server's forum, found here: [1]. Hosted by clipchip, SimPvP players were given the choice between two candidates: DakkaDok, former admin and longtime player, or clipchip, also a longtime player but having no prior admin experience. After a plethora of votes, clipchip won by a single vote, gaining the forum title "Honorary Admin".
The Election
Though he had plans to run as far back as the summer of 2017, clipchip formally posted a poll to the forum on November 20th, 2017. Here, players were given the choice between the two candidates: incumbent admin DakkaDok or clipchip himself. After posting the poll to the forum, the two candidates rallied to gain voters, and the poll's results fluctuated throughout the following days.
