The issue isn't so much with /world, but starting out in a hyper-griefed spawn with no gear. Getting rid of enderchests will just make the cost of being raided greater, forcing bases out even further, making raiding even harder. That's true. This suggestion is largely missing the point. The reason that people don't raid bases is that bases are an unholy distance from each other. And, the reason people build 100k or 1 million blocks from spawn is for base security. It is not possible to build maintain an above-ground base within 5k or so...
