Can anyone confirm what the actual cause was? The server has been offline for quite a few hours, I've been getting word that all other servers were offline during this period as-well.

Ugh. There needs to be a method to contact admins for situations like this, and so many other situations that arise from admins never logging in until the middle of the night.
