I think the server is down, me and my friend can't enter the server

this happend to me last night a couple of times, i logged back in and i ended up to where i was about 100 blocks away from where i logged out.

I recently moved to a new base far away from the original spawn in the server with a friend and apparently somehow my new spawn point did not save and i was spawned back to the original spawn area. me and my friend went passed a bunch of islands so i think it wont be possible for me to find the plac...
