Re: Rule 3 is a joke

Please don't repost locked threads to get around the lock, especially with such low effort posts. If you do it again you'll be blocked from posting on the forum.

Re: Remove /world

If anyone remembers we did do a 2 month period without /world some years back. Before people say they want this, we should at least experiment with removing it first. If someone wants to make a vote on whether to disable /world for April and May.

Re: Cavehoe

Locking because I know this thread isn't going to lead to anything productive. If you think somebody has done something that's illegal, you should contact the proper authorities. You're not going to get justice for something like that by complaining on a minecraft forum. The goal of rule #3 isn't to...

Re: Litematica pasting is suddenly broken on the build server?

WorldEdit does not do the same thing. It edits things in-place server-side, so the entire schematic is pasted within 1 tick. WorldEdit does not run any commands for you. If you need some specific functionality, you should run it on your own server. The build server is not guaranteed to receive any k...

Re: Litematica pasting is suddenly broken on the build server?

It was disabled because the way it works was causing unnecessary load on the server.

You can email schematics and we'll put them into the server. We may need a better way to do things though.

Re: Potentially Restoring Illegally Griefed Bases

There's a lot of opinions on the exact details here, but it seems people are universally in favor of the general concept of base restoration, unless I missed somebody. I personally don't care that much about the details, beyond some base guidelines I'll lay out, so I'd like to see if we can't move t...

Re: Possible Base Restoration and New Plugin to Find Cheaters??

Thanks for writing this. Logblock in theory does do the same things, but it's a very old plugin. The only real reason we're still using it is because we've had it for so many years, and that it still mostly works. The only things it doesn't do is properly restoring chests and similar items with addi...

Re: Potentially Restoring Illegally Griefed Bases

To move this forward, what I'd like to see is a complete wiki page written for the policy.

Put {{Notice|This page is a proposal, the text on it does currently apply to the server.}}

at the top, then let people collaboratively figure the policy out. Then at some point we remove the notice.

Re: Potentially Restoring Illegally Griefed Bases

What if somebody cheats to get gear, and then griefs the base legit other than having gotten gear illicitly? Like an old base which location is known by many people.

Re: SimPvP and its Future (manifesto) [long rant]

Yeah, maybe that was the wrong call. Maybe he should have been banned. If you're expecting the "right" (for whatever definition of right) decision to be made every time, you have unrealistic expectations. If you expect every decision to be one that makes you personally happy, then you're d...
