Powered carts have are very limited in terms of movement. By themselves, they can easily climb slopes and generally do anything a normal cart can do with powered rails, minus the powered rails. However, in order to push you up a slope, the rails must be sloped one rail upwards per two rails horizontal, and sometimes more in order to push you up a slope. This is because they apply their power in "bursts", and you can use a 1/1 slope using two carts, but sometimes the carts collide and mo fucking physics takes place, and others they simply fail to push and when the game senses this, they stop working immediately and fall down the slope. I'd much rather waste time looking for gold then come up with a system that works for powered carts.

Or, simply put, they are completely useless. Their speed is comparable to sneak for f*cks sake!

i loved the booster track system. You got full speed on flat land for a few hundred blocks.
