I believe owning guns is a fundamental right. You have to prove you have the brains to operate such a weapon, but just because you have to prove you can operate it doesn't mean we should take away that right.

I believe that nobody should own guns. Guns should just be outlawed entirely, and people could learn how to joust, or duel, or learn how to do one hit knock out punches and shit. Like ninjas.

the right to bear arms is a right that all people must have but must refrain from exercising all together to bring weapons to an end. As things stand today, many people have guns. Weather they own them legally or not, they have them and so long as others have weapons of force that exceeds our own physical human forces, we must retain our right to bear arms of equal force in order to defend ourselves against them. Also to be clear when you have a "right" to something it means there can be no regulating the exercising of that right. If you were to say only people with a permit, licence, or registration can bear arms then you have made the right into a privilege. I'm no fan of killing but how many deaths would there have been at that school shooting if every kid there was well armed and trained to use those arms? I know i'd not think twice about shooting some nut on a rampage. I don't have a gun though, my hunting bow is my only bearing of arms. But it goes for all arms, If there are people out there with nuclear weapons then i damn well better have the right to have my own nuclear weapons, cuz when push comes to shove i can't rely on some one else to protect me. Simply the production costs would keep most of your average yokels from sporting their own nukes.

As for world's point: Good catch, The right to bear arms does not express the right to use arms. But one would have to use the arms first before any action could be taken against him/her. That's why the man would rather just take the guns away.
