Ship over some prebuilt stuff. Get a big castle to blow the hell out of, or something like that. Nothing with valuables in it, just stuff to add to the scenery.

This. The size is great, it's finally a PVP world, not store-your-shit-while-moving-world, it just needs to get a little more interesting.

The size isn't the biggest problem, so much as the water. I think we should use a new seed, for starters. I agree that the old /world was too big, but I think maybe 500x500 would be better. I think the easiest solution is just reset it again with a seed that doesn't cover the whole thing in water.

Well there is about 90.000 blocks to dig per layer and 5.400.000 to dig the whole thing to bedrock
