I had considered this after he started ignoring arguments, but I believe that people like this can exist if they are religious zealots.Gnatogryz wrote:I'm starting to think that maybe HoleDigger is skillfully trolling us.

Lol, no. Not positive thinking, I'm all for that.SilasOfBorg wrote:No sense, huh?Mr_Hole_Digger1 wrote:This makes no sense dude, even non Christians would think this is weird logic. Shrug.SilasOfBorg wrote:Don't underestimate the power of prayer.
I don't say that because I think there's a being that is actually listening. I say it because verbalizing desires and really believing that you will get something does affect the choices you make in subtle ways that will often bring about that which you are wanting.
The power of positive thought, if you will.
Oh look, it seems there are "even" Christians who think this is pretty good logic.
I didn't write the original with you in mind, but your humorous and small-minded reply got you a response anyway. Congrats.
I meant 'verbalizing desires and really believing that you will get something does affect the choices you make in subtle ways that will often bring about that which you are wanting.'
1. This hardly makes sense, I had to read it a couple times, thanks for this mess of a sentence.
2. So what if I 'verbalize desires'? (Prayer) Why on earth you you even care? You just hate everything I say no matter what.
3. You care about my actions that much? You act like a jerk, sort yours our before you sort mine out. "You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."
4. I hope you actually read the stuff on your little website, it's actually legitimate wisdom. Thanks for sharing.

But perhaps he isn't missing the point, so much as deliberately dodging it.
Food for thought.

Re: Beliefs.
Believe it or not, all religions originate from the Bible. I'm not saying they are a part of the Bible, but they have similar traits that people have taken out from it.Gnatogryz wrote:Wacky world of believers: testimony = proof, as long as it proves their own religion. Why don't you take spiritual experiences of Muslims, Hindus or Buddhists equally seriously?
Muslims, Hindus and Buddhists are demonic. Stay away from them, they don't offer the love of God or eternal life in heaven.

Re: Beliefs.
Back up your fucking claim. Because, believe it or not, you have done NO research on the subject, you're just regurgitating shit you've been taught in sunday school. Why do religious people refuse to actually educate themselves on the shit they're talking about?Mr_Hole_Digger1 wrote:Believe it or not, all religions originate from the Bible. Re: Beliefs.
ok.... so all the religion are based on the bible and are demonic... does that not make the bible demonic?Mr_Hole_Digger1 wrote:Believe it or not, all religions originate from the Bible. Re: Beliefs.
Holy fuck, I need to chime in by saying that:
1. Islam is a derivation of Christianity. It is an abrahamic religion. They believe in Abraham, Moses, Jesus, all that shit, but they don't believe Jesus was the messiah, just a prophet. All the other shit that make them different was caused by 1400 years of turmoil.
2. Buddhism and *especially* Hinduism is years older than Christianity, let alone Judaism. It's about as old as Greek mythology, which was nearly 3500 years old, in the case of the most ancient texts. If you really want to be accurate, Hinduism is probably 1000 years older, though it'd be "pre-Vedic" Hinduism. Islam and Hinduism were at each others throats during the middle ages, and they still are now. For demonic faiths I find it interesting that they fight each other. As for Buddhism, it either developed as early as 600 BCE or as late as 400 BCE. This was still centuries before Christianity was even in its development stages, which didn't really occur until after the Romans adopted the faith.
