So every now and then I come across something and I wonder what the story is behind it. That's the case with this seemingly abandoned base that I discovered some time back and took caps of. Who did this?

It's finding shit like this that makes it all worth it.

Yeah, there's nothing quite like being reminded that you're not alone here and knowing that this place has history. You can generate all the solo maps you want, but they just can't compare.

By the way, there was also an incomplete cathedral that I forgot to screencap in more detail, but you can see it in this shot of the farm's exterior: link.

I remember once finding a little wooden hut with an enormous loot including diamonds and minerals. So I suppose it was made before enderchests were added into the game. I didn't took any screenshots though.

Alright, tone it down, we're not in Off-Topic here. On a related note, when I was doing my 150k walk with no nether, I found a house in a frozen ocean that was about 15k out. It was fairly old (i think we found it to be pre-1.3 because of a map found there?) Managed to loot 20 something diamond blocks, a few stacks of iron blocks, and other goodies. Made all the walking afterwards worth it.

It didn't seem to have been used in ages. No brewing stand, no enderchest, etc. It had a nice farm too, which worked out well considering my lack of food.
