So lately after researching Washington and having my sister's boyfriend witness paranormal activity I've found out that many houses that are haunted or have had paranormal activity are close to my own house. I will be listing off allegedly real life ghost stories and under every retelling of that story I will put a link below for further details on the topic.
One house called Andrews Rainbow House: A boy named Andrew tells his father that he's gay and then is killed by his dad. The next day his dad goes out and the whole house is painted in rainbow stripes in the front, and multicolored optical illusions in the back. They tried to paint over the rainbows but the next day the color kept coming back.

This road is more of a personal ghost story that happened to my sister's boyfriend. He was driving down Maple Valley Highway, fog just obscuring alot of his vision. He sees a figure walking down the road, its raining and cold, its a girl with thin clothing. He's concerned and pulls over, offering her a ride. She stops walking and just stands there, looking at the ground. He gets creeped out and drives away. He has no knowledge of this haunting on this road until my sister tells him later.
This road is known as Maple Valley Road. Even during the summer, a thick fog will always settle over the road at night, and only that road. When the rest of the city is clear, fog will just cloud over that road. Maple Valley road is also extremely dangerous, over 100 accidents have occurred on that road. http://www.ghostsofamerica.com/9/Washin ... tings.html
This is a recent event that has occured in 2013. At the Cecil Hotel, guests begin complaining about dark and bad tasting water. They send firemen up to check on the water tanks, which require them to cut a hole in the roof of a water tank and find the naked body of Elisa Lam, at the bottom of a water tank. They simply dismiss her death as an accidental drowning but how did she get on top of the roof which requires a keycard to access and if access to the roof is granted, the whole hotel is notified that someone is on the roof. How did she get into the water tank which required firemen to cut a hole in the top just to look inside? But most jarring and creepy of all is the video surveillance of how Elisa Lam was acting in an elevator just minutes before her death (provided in the link below). That video brings even more questions. Why do the elevator doors not shut even after minutes of Elisa standing inside without poking her head out? Why does Elisa begin to act so strangely, pushing all the elevator buttons and moving her arms around so inhumanly? Some may suggest she was on drugs, but her autopsy concluded there were no drugs in her system, nor did she have a drug history. Lastly, why is Elisa Lam appearing to be hiding from someone?
The Cecil Hotel has had a history of serial killers booking rooms within it and people committing suicide within it. Another strange coincidence is after a tuberculosis outbreak near the Cecil Hotel they created a test kit called LAM.ELISA five years before she actually died.
