The only issue with it is, like Fo has pointed out, that the repetitive log types and design of it being multilayers makes the entire construction bleed together into a mess.

Certain areas need some definition that sets them apart from each other, identifying groups of buildings or ect.

I think messy and non-pretty are the way to go. Lake town is not a beautiful tourist town. but i'd say expand majorly, it looks more like a condo complex than a town at this point.

Im ashamed to say i had to google that guy. Never met him for some reason.
EDIT: By the way, before you get any ideas, this is not going to look like Nos Astra in any way, it's just named after my favorite scifi city ever.

I feel ashamed that I didn't realize the name of the city was Nos Astra, I thought it was Ilium. In my defense, ME falls into the list of scifi's that treat planets as cities...
