Hello everyone!
In the chat a few days ago, we had a fun discussion about a card game based on the admins of our server. It was all a joke, and I'm sure nobody imagined it could be taken seriously, but as I had a few hours on my hands I thought that some of our forum community could engage in this group project. I plan for the game to be somewhat like Yu-Gi-Oh or Elements (http://www.kongregate.com/games/zanzari ... e=elements) Please feel welcome to help make such an absurd idea a reality.
I have already drafted up some rules for how this game will work, and created a default card in Paint.net.
So far pianiseemo, mitte90, and Bloop_ have been made!

The pickaxe represents his mining, the sword is his attack, and the helmet is his defense. How these values will effect the game is mentioned in the rules.
Right now I'm looking for someone who can make a better default card. It has to somehow include their values and somewhere to list their effect/special ability.
Rules
These rules are going to have many problems, so this is what I need feedback the most on. Anything from minor adjustments to a completely new set of rules will be appreciated.
The objective of the game is to reach 500 diamonds before your opponent does.
Both players start out with one chest carrying 10 diamonds. A chest can carry as many diamonds as you like and you can spread out your diamonds to different chests as you buy them.
In your hand will be all of the admin cards you own. To bring a card onto the field, you must pay the required amount of diamonds marked on the card.
At the beginning of every turn add up the mining levels of all of the cards on your side of the field. You will gain this many diamonds.
During your turn you may use your cards on the field to do battle with your opponent's cards.
For may do battle once for each card on your side of the field.
Select the card that you want to use to attack with. Then select the opponent's card that you want to attack.
If the attack of the card you have is greater, the defense on the opponent's card will drop to 0.
When any card's defense is dropped to 0, it is removed from play and brought to the discard pile.
If is past your first turn and there are no players on the opposing side of the field nor structures guarding the chests, you may steal the diamonds in their chest(s)
You may raid one chest per player on your side per turn.
During your turn you may also trade in diamonds for items like equipment cards, or structure cards that will also be in the area of equipment cards.
You can use equipment cards as listed on them, and equipping them to one of your players. Structure cards will be played on the field delivering abilities/effects.
That's all I have for now, basically you will be in a race to mine 500 diamonds while waging a war. Please give me feedback on this.
There might be a few admins who will request me not to put them into a card, and in that case I will respect their interest.
So I'm going to be looking for a lot of help and feedback on this, feel free to give me any constructive criticism on what I've already posted!

lol would love this to be done:> but i think it will be better if some other longtime players is in the there to. and also have some noticble hackers/trolls to use as evil player cards:P

I'd say use players like Kraken_12, Hawkster270072 and Fixtational (If that's how his name is spelt I always get it wrong.) Please give me something like a low attack and middle or high defense and mining capability.

i'd be low mining and attack high defence. Put in mastermuki materwolf pugpupy38 milkman_niton RockPolish bigatrain Fixtional (is how it's spelled) and don't forget Box's crew. lot's more are worthy these are just some off the top of my head. never played yugio i played some magic back in it's early says that's all i know on how trading card games go

Firstly, all characters should start with the same amount of health (I say 5) and then you can boost it with additional armor (regular price, 24 diamonds for a set of armor).
I would suggest we use the formula Price = Attack + Mining + Bonus So some are good at mining for their price, some are good at attacking, and some have awesome abilities (and mixes of that.)
Imo 100 diamonds isn't enough, will be very short matches, I'd suggest we set it to 500 to begin with, and we'll have to see how it goes.
I'd suggest we have a total of 3 kinds of cards: Players, equipment, structures.
Players are obviously, the players. Equipment are things such as diamond armor, diamond sword, potions, x-ray, everything we can think of. This should be the card-game equivelant to spells, having both enchantments (including but not limited to armor) and spells (including but not limited to splash potions.) Structures are things such as chests (explained further down) redstone traps, obsidian, so on. Structures and players can be attacked, but equipment that lasts can be destroyed using special abilities (such as admin against x-ray) and destroyed indirectly by attacking what it's attached to (ie. armor being destroyed by somebody attacking a player.)
I'd suggest your diamonds have to be stored in chests, then you can freely move said diamonds around among your chests for no cost, but they are never safe. You can attack a chest with any character with an attack of 1 or higher, which will reveal and loot everything in the chest for the round (presuming there are no structures defending the chest.) Chests cost only one diamond, but obviously each chest requires a chest card on your hand, so it's up to the player if they want to heavily defend their one chest, of if they want to build a whole lot of chests. As I said regular attacks should open and loot chests, but it requires some sort of special equipment (lava bucket or axe) to destroy chests.
One equipment that immediately came to mind was xray: Type: Server-wide Equipment. Cost: 10 diamonds (estimated). Does not attach to any specific player or structure. You can see the contents of all chests on the server. XRay is destroyed if an enemy admin is on the server.

Oh and I'd suggest we make a separate topic where people can pitch ideas for specific cards, worded so they're instantly ready to be made, such as:

Players inside an Obsidian stucture cannot attack. Enemies must attack the Obsidian structure before they may attack any players of structures within it.
Chest: Type: Structure. Cost: 1. Armor: Infinite. Stores an infinite amount of diamonds. Can be looted by any player with over 1 attack. Can be destroyed by lava, TnT, and axes.
Structures are built from the inside and outward, so if I build a chest, then play an obsidian card for 9 diamonds, then a trap, then an obsidian card for 12 diamonds. People will have to attack the 12 armor obsidian first, then the trap, then the 9 armor obsidian, and then finally the trap. There should be some equipment or players with special abilities that circumvent this, at a drawback obviously.
