...unless the invis person flags themselves to allow teleportations near them. Hm. Forgot to use my brain there.

Actually, that's a really good idea clipchip suggested.

If that were to get implemented, I'd suggest having separate commands for overworld and pvpworld, in case you are in the overworld, teaming up with someone against someone else in /word. Or perhaps even /allow specific players you trust to always tp near you, which would also help in that same scenario.

Have you ever actually tried to use /world to detect an invisible player? It's really not very useful for that.

I haven't used it myself, but it has been used by others against me, to blow my otherwise perfect cover. And I have heared of other cases where this has happened.

Like two (or three?) days ago, Xestia was invis trolling Stampy by making certain things happen around him, causing him to completely freak out. Until he did /world and it told him that there is a player nearby, at which point he became aware of it. Though the trolling still kinda worked at that point, but not really as much.

But the most significant occasions would be when you try to follow someone to a /portal or hidden place, and they halt because they've used /world and know that someone is sneaking about.

So you can't follow them.

It's like using a minimap mod to know if there's someone invisibly following you around.

Cheating. Not very effective, but cheating nonetheless.

It doesn't happen very often, but it happens. And when it does, it's super annoying.

That just seems like a really specific instance. I would be really annoyed If I was stalking someone, about to strike, and they suddenly warped out.

And I like Melvin's flagging idea. Would make it a lot easier to warp in and out of the pvp world when you have a whole team.

I dislike the flagging idea because it seems to add unnecessary complexity. /world is already confusing enough, then you have to also explain the flag command, and it seems to be too much.

Having a 15 second timer or something for using /world doesn't seem too bad though, personally I would think it'd be annoying having to always wait 15 seconds, but it's not the worst idea.

Well, I think it's a valid point that it does confuse many new people, especially as most people seem reluctant to read the wiki. I'm not strictly opposed to flagging, but somebody else will have to write the code for it.
