FTP clients retry logins until it times out or hits a limit.

Honestly the fact it was 8 times leaves me to believe it wasn't a computer. And the fact that you attempted to log in as the admins. That isn't looking good for your case. Even if you weren't being malicious, what you were doing was hacking by our definitions.

he tries to fool us. (and in your case seems to be successful - I wonder why...). He did not do a port scan to find out if dynmap was running secretly.

Even if it were running secretly, using it unauthorized or cheating by using it would be reason enough to ban him. (I wonder why anyone could believe yukar would be running it secretly without restricting access. This story is unbelievably stupid, thus I have to admit it's creative.)

As he didn't find other useful open ports than ftp, he tried to connect via ftp. Yes, he is right if he says, ftp is no secret and he is right if he says, if you login annonymously depending on the tool there could be more than one attempt. But there is no plausible reason, why to try to connect with 4 different possible admin usernames. This can't happen unintended. What do you think he would have done if he gained access to the server as user yukar?

Another indication is, that there are 4 other players allegedly playing with his ip. There are always brohters and friends using the same ip when anyone is appealing somethin like this in the forum. I wonder why? Why do these people always post stupd stories in the forum in stead of just contakting the admin, apologizing and hoping he will forgive you? Do they really think they would find enough stupid people here to force yukar to unban them?

If anyone can explain how someone could accidentally or naturally try to login anywhere with several usernames that would probably give you admin access to the server, I will stop laughing and apologize. I think there was a misunderstanding - I did try to gain admin access to the FTP days before I was banned for trying.
The point I'm trying to argue is that I spent a total of about 5 minutes on it - and didn't try again after that.
The ONLY thing I was interested in trying was default or common passwords. After that failed, I couldn't have cared less about it.

I think it is unreasonable to keep me banned for something I spent maybe 5 minutes looking into.

Also, I linked to the port scanner in the OP. I did actually use it.

When and how often you did it does not matter.The point is that you did it, and you was banned for it. Game over. Others have been banned for using x-ray, flymod or doing other things for less than 5 minutes. You should have known about the null tolerance policy here.

They get jailed and asked to turn it off. They deny it and get banned.
I've been jailed and I understand what a sensitive topic this has become.

I would appreciate some courtesy from you, as the only basis for your argument is the possibility I'm lying.

Yukar has only made one post, as he hasn't been around this week. Reaching a conclusion from his one post isn't fair for this appeal.
