The freecaming is client-side, which means the server doesn't know that person is doing it, which in turn means that person is vulnerable, Since it is local, the freecammer is constrained to the chunks loaded by the client.

And yes, it is kind of an improved xray.

Freecams are not perfect and there are ways to detect them, though it requires manual intervention.
