If those two just fight in creative mode the crater around spawn will just get bigger

...how? Last time I checked, nothing pvp related really damaged terrain - arrows, swords, lava, potions, etc.

I don't see the appeal of using TnT in a PvP match. They have the warning of the fuse to escape the blast easily, unless you're in a tiny little box.

TNT is expensive to get, hard to set up in a hidden and effective manner, has WAY too long a fuse to be used for AP purposes, and if you drop it on them in a box they can just log out of the blast.

Useless.
