Yes, something that attires attention in the forum header so you can't forget and it is as simple as it can get.

I don't want to try to get anyone to vote who doesn't actually want to, but I know there a lot of people who intend to vote but honestly forget. (Including myself and many people I've spoken to.) If someone wants to ignore it I'm absolutely sure they could, and at least 90% would. But when we have such low voting rates I think any small difference counts, so I think a brief ingame message and/or a forum link is worth it.

if people genuinely forget about voting it's safe to say they don't actually care

Yeah but it doesn't matter if or how much they actually care, just lead them to voting like you lead kids to a white van fully of candy

They might not care about voting but they sure do care about increasing community, as do I. Which would be done by voting. So yeah.

again the increase may or may not happen so just saying they do by association doesn't actually make it true

Isn't there a pretty direct correlation between more votes and more people? I mean nothing is 100% certain, but you're acting like voting is some kind of risky gamble, and it's not. It's almost sure to get us a few new people and costs us almost nothing, so why not do it?

I never used the word gamble, I said it may or may not happen. They care about increasing community but it's unlikely to get them to care about something so mundane and detached as voting.
>almost sure to get us a few new people
first, you don't know that
if you enjoy the ten year olds and shitters that are the majority that check for servers online, everyone else has their own circle of people that run a server

Doesn't matter what particular words you used, you said what you said, so stop trying to weasel out of it.

Ok, so according to you, we shouldn't vote because it won't bring anyone and also because it will bring people. That makes a lot of sense.
