I think I get what you're saying. And it's really up to Yukar whether this is even something we can entertain. This seems like something he'd shoot down, even if he agreed with us.

You do have a point. I also asked Yukar today about his opinion on the limit, he said he didn't mind taking it down, so long as there was a reason. I haven't a clue what he'd think of this.

If he didn't shoot it down immediately, he'd be very reluctant. I don't think he'll easily agree with this. And I can't blame him. This would use more server resources then those damn single player players who go 513952527k out. Oh, wait...

To be honest, I don't agree with this. Don't we all want the server to grow, utimately? Think about it that way. In terms of a map reset, I think it's uneccesary. Even if we take all the shit over to the new map, we still have to build bases and that takes time. i know airs wheat farm took like an entire dia pick....

Right, but it seems we can't grow without cutting off one side. This way we could have two servers that grow. And in case you guys didn't get it, I'm playing the Devil's Advocate.

"an entire diamond pick" Are you kidding? I went through two, maybe three digging that. Rebuilding is no problem. Build bigger. Build better. With new land. New limits. Two servers.

Re: A limit compromise. (For realz this time)
I just realized what bloop said (I blame doing this after being awake for 17 hours). Bloop, are you telling me that those who are against the limit are willing to start anew? We wouldn't bother to go 10k out if it meant we didn't get our dia picks. Really, saying "those who have to start over have it too hard" is a horrible argument. The big thing is whether making a new server is too much for the server's resources, but the payoff may be what we need. We aren't going anywhere with this limit. We keep it, people will leave. We remove it, people will leave. We do some "half and half" and we just piss off both sides. This is the only compromise where both sides can just forget the arguing and just FUCKING PLAY MINECRAFT.

Or, we could all leave and go elsewhere, though I doubt I will find another server that has the same atmosphere. One with constant bitching over topics and unreasonable denial.

I tried over the past 2 months. Vanilla servers are hard to come by. Ones that want to stay vanilla are even harder to find.

yarr the Limit be's bad, and I'm not talking about gameplay, I'm talking about the theory of it. Its crushing our server. And now theres no way to fix it. lets face it.
