Re: World Boundary
not that facts have anything to do with peoples choices which is why i feel yukar needs to look at the facts when making a decision and not just go off what ever the kids vote for. Of coarser we all know that yukar has a biased opinion for keeping the limit.

Re: World Boundary
Did any one read this? cuz it seems like a great compromise to me and i've heard no feed back on this.RevStoningpot wrote:On another note i had an idea on a way to slowly remove/extend the limit. Since mojang can't seem to leave the terrain generator alone, we could extend the limit by 1K each update to allow for new land exploration.

Re: World Boundary
Mistaking whether someone's being online recently isn't taken as a joke. Implying TheLea and Kienanners quit because of the limit is the joke. Considering that they supported the limit, it's more of a huge assumption than an inaccuracy. Fights between groups can start without a limit, but running into your opposing group on many occasions at spawn and at random places unscheduled is evidence. PVP was more active before the limit? Ofcourse there would be a time where there was active PVP before the limit. This server has been around for a while. But from early 1.8 to right before the limit, there wasn't any PvP. Then from when the limit was implemented to now, there's been many examples of PvP. Coincidence?RevStoningpot wrote:Did you miss this part? I havn't seen TheLea online in a long time, Also Dpylz became so inactive that he quit being an op and now i've only seen him pop in and out quick once in a while. And just because people supported the limit doesn't mean they are not gone so no it's not a joke and there are still many on that list that you have no explaination for. Also gnat can't testify to seeing a change in pvp he's new. And feuds between groups don't require a limit. I am reminded of Fixional and his monolith clan (all gone now) were well hated and fought before there was a limit. So rather than nitpick about a few inacuracies in my statement how about you form some kind of evidence that the limit has increased pvp. Because pvp is no where near as active as it was when we had a spawn rat friendly spawn and strong advertisement with out a limit. If you could match old interactive rates like when we had a regular capped out at 50 population i would accept that the limit is usefull but so long as i know pvp was more active before the limit i must demand you provide some kind of proof to back up these fanciful claims.RevStoningpot wrote:Perhaps some are still here and i've missed them online,

Re: World Boundary
I was actually implying that kienanners left because he only came around to help pianiseemo vote for the limit. Has no one noticed this but me. Votes become drasticaly insupport of the limit as soon as pianiseemo shows up. This poll was twice as much in favor of dropping the limit one night when i went to bed, pianiseemo had not been round. When i woke up the poll was about tied, and sure enough pianiseemo was around. So it would seem that he's been getting his 4-chan (or where ever he plots against the server) friends to come vote even though they don't care one bit about this server.
And i agree the map reset was a bad time for a well thriving server. Which goes to show that we shouldn't go around drasticaly changing the server due to a minor majority vote of a bunch of children. But regardless we should try to undo what we did to lose people in the first place. I am saying that the server had a strong population where in people were both doing as they wish well hidden far away and actively fighting in the local area, before there was ever a limit. The fact that this was a few months ago is irrelivent. The point is that the server has proven to be quite active without a limit and has not proven such with a limit. And that's a fact.
And seriously has no one any opinion on the gradual increase?

Re: World Boundary
its may be a compromise to have a 1k increase every patch. but im all for removing it completely. for the poll i suggest we only count regulars and not players that come and go

Re: World Boundary
Seriously, I'm now too lazy to travel to spawn to try and whack someone's head in because everyone's always paTROLLIN' in thier best shit, pretty much unstoppable. What's worse, is I can easily be followed home, and even easier X-rayed after that. It's really annoying, and I'd like to just go to fucking eden so I can help box and everyone else and make wake island. And then we can worry about who's doing what.

Yeah... I too would love to go to eden. Perhaps just a one-time thing from Yukar....you could pay him like a stack of diamonds to pass you thru the border...(?) We could start having that.

Re: World Boundary
a toll has been suggested in the past i'm surprised that's not an option in the poll. A toll would be goo in that people would have to spend a good deal of time attaining wealth before leaving the 5K area. I would hope that this would also restore our beds fire and portals for those outside.
Re: World Boundary
rev if portals are enabled theres nothing stopning players from building one and get past the toll
