Re: Limit Compromise
to be fair, they aren't being forced. And youngs, how does my old toll plan not increase pvp? The limit would still exist, but if you invested a lot of time toward resources, you could pass through. Those who wanted to stay could stay.
Re: Limit Compromise
Because it would limit people traveling through the boundary, those who are outside, are unlikely to travel inside the toll.worldruler086 wrote:to be fair, they aren't being forced. Re: Limit Compromise
You want to argue over what every person outside the limit wants? If someone cuts off their chances of random interaction, it doesn't mean they'll never be able to fight if they found themselves in the 5k limit.FoSchnizzle wrote:But they leave to minimize interaction. Not get rid of any chance of it, but just to reduce it. So we force them to interact heavily before they can do as they please.

Re: Limit Compromise
Well, his idea isn't much better.
Re: Limit Compromise
His idea has the same problem, but it also adds an incentive to pvp.

Re: Limit Compromise
A 20 diamond fee isn't going to keep someone in the boundary. Maybe an amount of diamonds so large that they'd have to stay in the boundary for a while would help, but encouraging people to play CTS is much more effective.worldruler086 wrote:to be fair, they aren't being forced. Re: Limit Compromise
Hold more events, more often, perhaps twice, thrice a week if possible, but maybe have say a 1 block reward for easier or quicker events, and so on. Then, I wouldn't have much of a problem. But at the moment, I don't have near enough free time on Saturday's to make sure that I can do cts an get something of it.

Re: Limit Compromise
If events are held 3 times a week they start to lose their value and almost nobody would come. The last CTS we had was only one team and absolutely no fights happened near the sign.
Events need to offer a very significant and needed reward. Access to getting out of the limit would be perfect.

Re: Limit Compromise
it's my understanding that the limit is suppose to increase pvp by making random encounters more likely. If a player has to gather a toll that's hard to get, like a stackof diamond, then the player will be inside the limit for a good long period of time, in which others have the chance to kill and rob that player. If the player is able to keep safe long enough to gather a stack of diamond then it would seem the player has already defeated the purpose of the limit. But having to win an event to get over has nothing to do with limit based pvp and would make the outside some kind of lame contest winner club.

Re: Limit Compromise
A better way to increase PvP instead of slowing someone down by making them gather diamond is just getting them to play CTS. Diamonds are more of an inconvenience than a challenge. This will create a lot of excitement in CTS. And having not only the limit in place but people trying to fight in CTS will be even more PvP. Even though CTS isn't limit based PvP, it's still very fun. I really don't have anything to say about your thought that the outside would be a "lame contest winner club". I don't think that's much of a problem.RevStoningpot wrote:it's my understanding that the limit is suppose to increase pvp by making random encounters more likely.
