Suggestions to get the pvp rolling

although i'm all about spawn reform, that excuse is a pussy excuse and has nothing to do with increasing pvp. Better idea: Make it less watery cuz no one likes to pvp in water.

Lol... I wonder how large the main perimeter around spawn is...I think it's always a good idea to keep that special little village and protected area around the real spawn because otherwise it's real easy for people to trap the spawn in lava...and then what do we do when we have no mods on?

The new spawn is almost vanilla, let's not break that by adding a protected area. We could build a obsidian pvp arena right next to the spawn instead.

Actually the current spawn is the same size as vanilla spawns. The only difference is it's better protected (no-pvp in the spawning spheres, spheres are one-way, people can't tnt cannon it, people can't pour lava into it, etc.)

With regards to Bloop, it's in water, and you can quite easily move around the spawn. If somebody in diamond weapons are waiting beneath you, walk over to another sphere, and jump down there. It's water, so people can't move quickly enough to catch up with you.
