Either you trust the wrong people, or build at obvious coordinates (like 5000, 5000). Maybe I'll build the next base for you? ;) My previous one stood for over 2 months without being detected, and it was 2500 blocks from the spawn. It's probably gone now cuz Ashfaldor got its coords.

BTW - I agree - Xrays should be compensated fully.
