Not sure what is going on but the server doesn't seem to be responding, server looks online and is showing names of online players from the last session but i am unable to join. Error: Time out

It says 10 people are on, but strangely I can't join.
Even more strangely, I am apparently one of the 10 logged on already.
Something is definitely wrong. I would guess that some of the 8 other "online" people actually aren't.

i can't connect to server. Is it down or is it (hopefully) being updated to 1.8?

Server is running fine, update will probably be a bit longer.

No, but Mojang's servers are down so it is not possible to connect.
