Re: Permajail for...what?

omg, consensus! consensus!
whether you decide to be merciful, or not, I do suggest that you clarify your posted rules to apply to any texture pack or other method that would allow blocks that are opaque/solid in the default texture pack to be seen through or detected. "Or detected" is important, because clients receive information about all the blocks in the loaded chunks. Thus you could develop a client side program that simply wrote down the coords of all the diamond blocks in the loaded chunks. Technically you would not be seeing through any blocks, but you would still be detecting them...
another method would be to generate a copy of the map using the same seed and locate diamonds or other ores on the copy map, offline, then log on and mine them on the simpvp map. now, that would require knowing the map seed, which I doubt is public info-- but it might be (I haven't fished for it), yet I'm guessing you guys would consider that to be cheating, even though it does not expressly violate any of your rules.
I'm content to hang out in spawn and chat with Severate and get melted periodically by Herald as he continues to mine out a massive cliff around the spawn area (at least I think that is what he's doing as I can't see crap from jail)... at least for another few weeks while I do my "time"... but, if you can find it in your hearts at some point to consider my debt to society as having been paid, and release me on probation or something, then I promise I will abide not only by the rules but by the spirit of the rules.
I must admit I felt pretty bad when I stumbled on this post: http://simplicitypvp.net/forum/viewtopi ... it=texture after I had been jailed. Had I known it was clearly off limits to use a texture pack that wasn't on the list, I wouldn't have done it. More clarity in the rules posted on the front page of the website would help.
