Permajail for...what?
Was just starting to warm up to this server and now find myself in permajail. Not sure what the "charges" against me are but I plead "not guilty" and demand a day in court. Hear! Hear! I demand a trial!

The subtitle is due to the lack of posts. Everyone has it, once you post x amount of times, it'll go onto the next thing. And you'll get your day of court. You'll find out why you're being hanged, and then you'll be hanged.

well I can already tell you its going to be some 12 year old with a god complex who says "I saw you doing something I subjectively think must be hacking because you are kicking far too much ass to be legit."
I wasn't hacking.
I challenge the accuser to produce a single shred of evidence other than subjective bullshit or "I'm server owner and you killed me so now you are banned."
Whatever the fascist who runs this "anarchy" outfit says, I'll wager the real offense is that I mined some obsidian from his obviously hacked obsidian castle. Clearly someone is allowed to spawn in obsidian with impunity. total BS...
I've already been hung without so much as an accusation, let along a "charge" against me.

This is not a server where some kid with a god complex runs things. Admins take no action without solid proof, and they do so with inarguable reason. Most of the time. cough cough.

I anxiously await the presentation of this so-called "solid proof."
I admit I don't socialize much in MC server forums but I would generally expect an admin to post a notice that a specific person has been banned for a specific reason. Not just ban them and say nothing. Most servers are run by 12 year olds with god complexes and I've been banned before for telling an admin his house was ugly. Nothing surprises me anymore.
It took me hours and hours of legitimate play last night to find blaze rods and netherwart, I finally get out of the nether by the skin of my teeth, nearly drown finding a place to sleep, set my bed, then go to sleep in real life.
Get home from work ready to build a nice little hidey hole and I'm permajailed with no explanation.
At the very least it comes off as being knee-jerk. I can almost guarantee you this is based on someone else "reporting" me or otherwise whoever's damn obsidian castle I took a few blocks from is an admin.
If anyone had any "solid proof" they would have confronted me at the time told me I was busted and booted me then and there. Instead they're going to let me play for literally hours and hours and then ban me when I'm logged off?
You know if I was hacking -- fine I'd take it like a man, but I'm not gonna take a railroad job quietly. If they want to ban me for nothing, I want that to be perfectly clear to the rest of you.

Wait something weird is going on, I just logged in and I'm still in jail but now I have Speed, Srength, Regen and Resistance and they keep renewing. It doesn't make any sense at all.

So in a moment of panic I deleted my jar and reinstalled, because sometimes my kids will install mods while I'm at work. Come back in the game and I've still got all the buffs I mentioned. I was thinking that might have explained this situation but I guess not.

Well I guess that concludes day 1 of my quest for justice -- or at least some form of explanation for my being banned, no matter how trumped up and devoid of facts...

You were banned for xray, by me personally. I'm currently not at my desktop, but I will get your proof as soon as possible. Or perhaps if you behave, Gnatogryz will get the evidence before then.
The presumption that "its going to be some 12 year old with a god complex" is honestly just annoying and discouraging in reviewing your appeal. Not only do us admins put in a lot of time to run this server (we also pay out of our own pockets; we refuse to take donations) but we also put in a lot of effort to take all appeals seriously and ensure the server is as fair as is possible. You will never be banned for saying one of the admins houses was ugly, and nobody (not even admins) are allowed to spawn in things for personal use. All those things were built legit, and as you can see were already griefed quite heavily.
If you had opened any of the other appeals here you would have seen this. We do not publicly post every ban because we ban 20+ people a day, and only 1% of them will ever appeal. We are however very careful with not banning until we are certain beyond reasonable doubt that cheats were used, which is why so few people are pardoned. We do of course make mistakes, but it doesn't happen often.
