And, if it was mandatory for people to download mods so as to not be at a rather large disadvantage, I'm sure many people would not download it and simply leave the server, which, at this point, might as well be complexitypvp.net

No fo has a point. We can't require every single person that joins this server to download something they may not even want to use. I can predict this is how it will go "hi I'm new to the server" admin "sorry, before you can play please go download Reid minimap" lone"yeah faggot gtfo" new player" Fuck you i'm never coming back!". :p

Rei's minimap isn't required for download, neither would an Entity-Health display be. It is simply an optional advantage.

there u have it all mods that gives u a advantage are NOT allowed. minimaps are a response to the broken(useless) maps in minecraft.

Minimap is a huge advanatage. It maps Biomes, Humidity, Temperature, the entire surface area, so even outside your render distance you can notice a change on the map or a light source, and provides in-game 3-D waypoints that you would otherwise forget where you're going. Not to mention automatically logging exactaly where you died.

I think it is a pretty big advantage.
