Re: Republic for the united States of America
First video: "We've been under a De Facto Gov't for 140 years".
I'd have to disagree. I don't disagree with his point that gov't shouldn't be corrupt, but to think that a gov't won't become corrupt is foolish. Anyhow, he's dead wrong. In 1798, only 12 years after our Constitution was even signed, the Alien and Sedition Acts were signed. The Act was simple; it set up rules to help prevent war between France (who had recently had their bloody revolution) and the U.S. by stomping on our rights. Naturalization went from a 5 year process to 14 years, the gov't could deport immigrants (even if they did nothing wrong, but their home country was at war with the US), and you could be arrested for calling the President a cunt. Now we have illegal immigrants going to the Homeland Security office, telling them that their not legal citizens, and being told they will not be deported. Now we have immigrants coming from the Middle East, and, although during the Bush years, they did face gov't scrutiny, were not deported unless they had a crime. Now we live in a nation that gave birth to the myth that our President wasn't even born in America, and you don't see people getting arrested in droves.
I'll agree that our nation's gov't is in dire need of repair, but a simple fix is not existent. the very system is broken, and the very concept of our ideal gov't relies on humanity to be ideal, which we sadly aren't. This server wouldn't be fun otherwise.
Also, I like how he's one of the few people who realized the Civil War was because of state's rights, not slavery (not to say it wasn't a key point). That said, I don't like how Christian this guy is. I don't mind that he's Christian, but he's been putting in too many allegories and references to concepts like "evil" and "new world order" that I can't help but not take this guy too seriously. Feel free to say I'm blowing out my ass, but I can't watch the 2nd and third video after watching the first.

Re: Republic for the united States of America
i don't know what your on about imigration for, but the de facto government took power after the act of 1871. And you can call the president a cunt all you want. That's freedom of speech. What you call "our nations government" i assume is the de facto government you're talking about. The point here is that we don't need to fix it. We need to tell it to get the fuck out of our states and stop enslaving our people. And all you need to do to accomplish this is to tell them to fuck off. The act of 1871 only gave power, to the corporate U.S. government, over washington DC and other selected territories. The assumed control over the state citizens through making them fill out birth cirtificates that made the people citizens of the DC government. That's why they can do unconstitutional things to you even though you don't live in DC or territories.
Not a fan of people and their religion either. Kinda hard to make your point sound valid when you follow it with let's all pray to the flying spaghetti monster.

Re: Republic for the united States of America
I talked about immigration because my counter argument that said we "had a de facto gov't for 140 years" is wrong, because the federal gov't could deport immigrants in 1798. As for the act of 1871...
Ah yes, the Reconstruction Era, the portion of American history I'm the most fuzzy about. I hope you understand the context of the law, which replaced state militia with federal troops due to Klan (yes, the Ku Klux Klan) terrorist attacks all over the South. Now, I'm all for one to say that "one who gives liberty for safety deserves neither", but since the US was just in a state of war, and were effectively occupying and rebuilding the South, I think that self-evident truth can be ignored. The Federal gov't HAD to step up, because if they didn't, the US could have a second Civil War. And you want to know another reason they enacted this law? To enforce the 14th amendment. you know, the one that said that blacks weren't 3/5ths of a person. Now, this Act has recieved some changes, and I'm wondering if I even have the right Act (is it this one? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_Rights_Act_of_1871). In 1963, an amendment was added that made it possible for you to accuse the gov't an any gov't members who you believe stepped on your rights, and sue them. I don't know about you, but this act seems to actually make a lick of sense (minus the suspension of habeas corpus in a few Southern counties, though that was in a state of war, so that was understandable...I guess).
Hm, let's keep looking at more Acts in 1871. There was an Act that made DC a seperate region. Doubt that is the act in question. let's look at some more things. Huh, some articles from libertarian sites are actually saying this IS the law in question. Well, let's look more into what they say. Hm...changing the phrase from "Constitution for the United States of America" to "Constitution of the United States of America". Seems awfully arbitrary. I mean, the meaning is certainly different, but gov'ts change and modify all the time. Now, the creation of a region of "Washington DC" can certainly seem off-putting, but if you think about it, it makes sense. The capitol isn't with a specific state (if it was, it'd be a political shit storm of "favorites"), and it was quickly becoming both a city AND a capitol. This isn't a conspiracy, this is common sense. An, politically, Washington (the city, not the capital) isn't even that powerful. In fact, recently their mayor was arrested for joining a group of Occupy Protesters. Now, I alo need to ask what you use for your word of "corporate". When I hear corporate, I think something dealing with those Wall Street fatcats, bathing in pools of cash (worth the weight). But the dictionary definition is a bit more clear, and I would admit that not only is Washington corporate, it wouldn't make sense if it wasn't. You see, corporation means "group that forms a single entity, that is recognized by law". It could also mean (and I think this one is the case) a group of people who run a city, county, or nation. So do we want a group of people running this nation? Well, I'd like them not to be corrupt, but I don't see much more of an alternative. After all, a group of people running a nation sounds an awful lot like representive democracy to me, and since that is what the US is, that makes sense. I don't seem to understand what is the issue...
Here's another article that has my same stance, albeit better articulated (it's late :/): http://www.freedomforceinternational.or ... orporation

Re: Republic for the united States of America
corporation: An artificial person or legal entity created by or under the authority of the laws of a state or nation... If you read the act of 1871, and yes that is the act to form a government for washington DC and selected territories, It created a corporate government that is a government run by corporation not by the public. Also the 14th amendment is what made every one slaves. Granted it freed the black people from their white masters, but it makes every one a "united states" citizen. That is a citizen of washington DC which, as it is a totally different government, is a totally different country. Before the 14th amendment people were state citizens, there was no such thing as a US citizen. So maybe washington the city isn't all that powerful but washington the country is.
As for the title change, this seems pretty arbitrary, but if it is a change in the constitution with out and amendment making the change then it is not our founding fathers' constitution. Any change even a for to an of needs to be made by an amendment.
Listen this isn't about debate. This is the truth. If you don't believe it or you don't want to be free. Fine by me be happy being forever enslaved. I made this post so any people in the states that do want to be free can get informed and stop being a slave. This is clearly not you as your just fishing the internet for other peoples' opinions just to deny yourself freedom.

Re: Republic for the united States of America
there's no argument (well this maybe)I'm just trying to let people know they can be free if they so choose. And the more people that become part of the republic will shift power from the false government to the true government a constitutional and free government.
