Some weird type of lag just happened...

I was just playing like normal, and all of the sudden, when I was jumping, I slowed down and all of my Minecraft froze while I was in mid-air. The chats were still loading up and all, but I was just frozen for a second. Then my guy slowly came back to normal being and I think I sent a huge message like FDKERLF:LDDV:SLBJL then L then I logged out to prevent death from a zombie, because it was night time. But still, what was that thing? Its happened once before right when I happened to be jumping over a ravine and scared the shit out of me.

Did your FPS drop? or did your guy just stop moving?

Nothing dropped, it wasn't a decrease in frames, everything just stopped. I couldn't screenshot, move my mouse, press ESC, or anything at all.
