Big cave full of chests that where pretty much empty but is was a shock to us on how many there were, it's like the Minecraft version of the Terracotta warriors!
There was almost 21 stacks of chests, plus more were down a few levels. You can look at the rest of the base here.
Probably a hoarder.
I think this guys thought they were gonna raid everyone and made this huge stash for all the loot, but never got around to it. Also explains why there's no trees at spawn.
I remember a couple months ago noticed some random person managed to find that place (+hidden chests.) When questioned, he explained the chests made him lag so much that that's wha caused him to somehow unintentionally dig straight to everything, and that he couldn't have used xray because he lagged feom the chests.

That's hilarious! Not that 'secret' when it automatically points you in the right direction. We found it by tunneling, we had to dig out two layers above it for a better picture too.
I also saw a hole coming straight down into that room, that's probably from the guy you were talking about. I got no lag from it probably because of my powerful i7 3770.
